The Bulgarian Industrial Association (BIA) has launched the implementation of the Bulgarian-Norwegian project “Social Dialogue for Sustainable Development and Decent Work (SDSD)”, financed through the Norwegian Financial Mechanism (Innovation Norway). The project is worth €90,100 and has a 14-month implementation period (from December 1, 2022 to February 29, 2024).
Partners in the project are two Bulgarian and two Norwegian organizations of the social partners – BIA (leading partner), the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CITUB), the Norwegian Confederation of Employers (NHO) and the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions (LO).
The project aims to build the capacity of social partners in Bulgaria for social dialogue, focused on sustainable development, employment and decent work. Within the project, good practices will be shared to achieve the goals of sustainable development, incl. on the role of employer and trade union organizations in creating new skills, sustainable models of production and consumption. Educational packages will be developed for the purposes of sustainable development and the creation of green jobs. It is also planned to hold thematic discussions, as well as a series of trainings for representatives of BIA, CITUB and branch employer and trade union organizations from the chemical and food industry.
